Why The Northern Flowerhouse?

Let me first start by saying "hi" and welcome. I wanted to just pin a post, introduce myself and say a few bits about me and why I'm here. I've always had a love for nature and the ebb and flow of seasons. A keen gardener from an early age, getting my hands in the soil and growing has always, and continues to be therapy. 2020 saw changes for many, if not most, for me it meant prematurely saying goodbye to a 12 year career in the cultural sector due to redundancy. With very few job prospects in the sector I decided to bite the bullet and go back to flower school, not just to improve my arranging skills of all my cut flower patch blooms, but hopefully to combine my creative side and my love of flowers.
